College of Science holds a major festival at the University of Baghdad titled "Made in Iraq"
A big festival titled "Made in Iraq" was held in the college of science at the University of Baghdad in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, in the presence of many officials, academics and students, with the participation of a number of local companies.
The festival, which was the first of its kind to be held and sponsored by the Dean of the college of science, Dr. Raed Kamel Naji and supervised by Dr. Magda Al-Saadi, a lecturer in the department of biology. The aim of the festival is to promote national industry in Iraq, support the private and the government sectors, transform the country's economy from consumer to producer, create opportunities and develop local products. Several governmental companies affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals in Iraq participated in this festival to meet the needs of students and professors.
To ensure the recognition of a clear vision for the advancement of the Iraqi industry, it is an important and appropriate point to meet local manufacturers and send a clear message within the overall objective of building a new Iraq and encourage investment, national economic and Iraqi trade exports.
